FAQs
On some setups, yes. Especially with desktop apps and the right permissions. If your device allows it, tools like Dadan can capture screen plus headphone audio, and in some cases system audio too.
Usually it’s one of three things. The wrong audio source selected, mic permissions blocked, or system audio not supported in that recording mode. Recheck settings and permissions first.
Go to your device privacy settings and allow microphone access for the recorder app or browser. On Mac, you may need to enable it under Privacy & Security. On Windows, it’s in Microphone permissions.
When you start recording, select the display/window you want. If you don’t see the right screen, disconnect/reconnect external monitors and restart the recorder.
Many built-in tools support basic video trimming. Dadan also supports quick edits for polishing recordings before you share them.
Some recorder can record multiple screens, built-in recorders often can’t. If you combine clips often, using a tool that supports stitching or timeline-style editing will save time.
