Privacy Policy
dadan Inc. (“dadan”, “our”, “us” or “we”), values your privacy and will protect it through our compliance with this privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”).
This Privacy Policy extends to any information gathered by dadan through the dadan website, any dadan downloadable application or otherwise availablse from the dadan website (“dadan Software”) and any dadan services or made available from the dadan website (“dadan Services”) (collectively, the “dadan Properties”). This Privacy Policy does not extend to any third party websites, applications or services that is not part of dadan properties (collectively, “Third Party Services”) or to any third parties that use the dadan Application Programming Interface (API) to perform any function related to the dadan Properties (“Integrated Platforms”).Particularly, Any information or other content you can view via the dadan Properties on Integrated Platforms or information you provide to Third Party Services will not be covered by this privacy policy even if they were accessed via the dadan Properties. Hence, we cannot take responsibility for the content or privacy policies of any Third Party Services. When viewing any content posted by one of our users, we encourage you to carefully review the privacy policies of this user and the privacy policies of any Integrated Platforms or Third Party Services used by such User which you may access via the dadan Properties.
By using the dadan Services or otherwise providing us with your Personal Data, you are agreeing to our Privacy Policy, as it may be changed by us, and it also means that you accept our collection and use of your information as per this Privacy Policy. If you do not accept this Privacy Policy, please use refrain from using any of the dadan Properties or otherwise provide dadan with Personal Information.

dadan requires only the details needed to provide products and services to you. The amount of details given by your side and collected by dadan relies on the conditions of your profile and posts. dadan may require two (2) types of information about you: Personal and Non-Personal.
- “Personal Details.” Personal details mean any information that identifies, relates to, describes, a particular person, or is defined as personal information under applicable law. When you use the dadan Properties for services like creating an account, filling out surveys, corresponding with dadan, or volunteering information about yourself, dadan may require some personal information.
- “Non-Personal details.” Non-Personal Information refers to information that is not described by the definition of Personal Information above. dadan may require Non-Personal Information when providing any service, in addition to automatically through the use of industry-standard technologies explained further below.
- Registration. Before using any of the dadan Properties, dadan may require writing some personal information or Non-Personal Information to register an account or to allow you to use some of the features or functionality provided by the dadan Properties.
- Users. dadan may require Personal details about organizational representatives through different methods (phone, email, online forms, in-person meetings), but only if these Personal details are given voluntarily. dadan may use these Personal details for sales, marketing, and support of the dadan Properties. These Personal Details are never shared with third parties, except for the Third Party Service Providers used by a User in relation with dadan Services.
- User communications. When sending emails or other communications with us, we may maintain those communications in order to process your inquiries, respond to your requests and improve the dadan Properties.
- Payment Information. When Registering for a dadan Account, for certain dadan Properties, or when you purchase online, you might be required to give information which may include your bank account details (e.g. Credit Card number), your name and billing address, and the security code associated with your payment instrument (e.g., the CSV) and other financial data (“Payment Information”). We only use Payment Information to complete transactions, as well as for the detection and prevention of fraud. When you provide Payment Information while authenticated, we will store this information to help you complete future transactions without your having to repeat this step. We do not, however, retain the security code provided with your payment instrument (e.g., the CSV). To remove or edit Payment details, please refer to us. After closing your account or removing Payment Information, however, we may retain your Payment Information for as long as needed to complete your current transactions and for the detection and prevention.
- Information Collected Through Technology. When you perform any activities using dadan properties, dadan automatically collects and receives certain information from your computer or mobile device, including the type of activities you perform, the type of hardware and software you are using, and information obtained from cookies (see below). Then, we may link this Non-Personal Information to your account to understand your needs and to enhance the features and usability of the dadan Properties, and better understand and market to our customers and Users.
- We automatically gather information using the following methods:

- Cookies. Cookies are used on the dadan website and other aspects of the dadan Properties. Cookies are small pieces of information that are stored by your browser on your computer’s hard drive. These cookies work by assigning a unique number to your computer that has no meaning outside of the dadan Properties. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can change your browser’s settings to stop this. Some dadan features may become unavailable to you in case of not accepting.
- IP Address. You can visit many links on the dadan website anonymously without having to register for an account. In these cases, dadan may retain IP addresses automatically. An IP address is a unique number that identifies each computer using the Internet Protocol to communicate over a network. The server logs your IP address every time you access the dadan website.
- Web Beacons. A web beacon is a technique used on web pages and emails to allow checking that a user has accessed some content. dadan may use these technical methods in HTML emails that are sent by dadan to check whether these users have opened those emails and/or clicked on links in those emails. The information deduced from the use of these techniques may be collected in a form that is Personal Information.
- Tracking Content Usage. If you use some of dadan services and you post audiovisual materials including, without limitation, videos, links, logos, artwork, graphics, pictures, advertisements, sound and other intellectual property contained in such materials (collectively, “Content”) to your website or a third party website, dadan tracks information related to User accounts and the use of Content by those that are given access to your content.
- Information Provided About a Third Party.When you communicate with others from the dadan Properties or send an invitation to a friend. If you choose to take advantage of this functionality, we may require some information about the person you are communicating with (e.g., name, email address, etc.). dadan collects these details to facilitate the requested communication, which may contain a specific promotional message from you (e.g., an invitation to watch a video). This information will not be used for other marketing purposes without first obtaining consent from the person to whom the relevant information pertains. Please note that when you use any invitation functionality on the dadan Properties, your email address, name or username, and message will be included in the communication sent to your addressee(s).
- Personal Information. The reason for which your Personal Data is requested and how it will be used or disclosed will be mentioned by dadan. If that reason is not listed below, we will explain any additional reasons that can make us require your Personal Data. In addition, your consent will be requested to collect, use or disclose your Personal Information for such additional purpose(s).
- By utilizing the dadan Properties, you will be required to agree to our use of your Personal Data for the reasons of:
- communicating with you In general;
- processing your online purchases;
- processing and keeping track of your transactions;
- protecting your account against fraud or error;
- providing Data or services requested by you;
- managing the dadan Properties and our business operations;
- personalizing your experience with the dadan website, in addition to assessing insights on dadan website activity;
- processing analyses of your behavior and characteristics to evaluate your interest in dadan services the various sections of the dadan Site;
- communicating with you on other third parties;
- emailing;
- delivery of your content and data to Third Party Services Providers;

- Users use dadan Properties to administrate and deliver Content to Viewers. dadan may request Personal Data As part of this process.
- Your verbal, written or electronic consent will be requested by dadan to collect, use or disclose your Personal Data. Your consent preferences can be edited or changed at any time by contacting.
- dadan authorized by the rights given to “data subjects” under the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) (the “GDPR”) to all of its Users. Therefore, you have the right to cancel your agreement to our processing of your Personal Data at any time (if our processing is based on consent) and the right to object to our processing of your Personal Data (if processing is based on legitimate interests).
- Non-Personal Information. dadan may use Non-Personal Information for the following purposes:
- System Administration: dadan may utilize Non-Personal Data for system administration, helping in recognizing issues with dadan servers, monitoring dadan’s system performance and traffic on the dadan Properties and to gather broad demographic Data about dadan Users.
- Personalization: Cookies and IP addresses are utilized by dadan to track features such as delivering Content specific to your interests and informing you of new, relevant services or certain third party offerings.
dadan will allow Users to update or correct Personal Information they have previously submitted upon request, but only to the degree that doing so will not jeopardize their privacy or protection. dadan will also erase Personal Data from the database where it is stored upon request; however, due to the way data backups are kept, it may be difficult to completely erase a User’s entry without any residual details being left. Personal Information deletion requests should be sent to [email protected].
Users can receive their Personal Data from us in a standardized, widely used, and machine-readable format, as well as the right to send their Personal details to any controller without restriction from us.
dadan can utilize your Personal Data to send you emails listing offers or events related to the dadan Properties on a regular basis. You may unsubscribe to such email messages by sending an email to [email protected] and/or following the directions contained in such communications. dadan will refrain from sending you marketing offers after submitting your opt-out request unless you opt back in to receiving certain communications.
We do not sell, transfer, reveal, or exchange your Data To third parties, except as mentioned below. This statement excludes trusted third-party service providers who help us in managing and delivering the dadan Properties or who provide us with services. Examples include content storage and management, data analysis, marketing assistance, integrations with Third Party Systems such as CRM and MAP services, credit card payment processing, and customer support. These third-party service providers may have access to Personal Data used to carry out their functions but will not use it for any other reason, and they are bound by reasonable agreements with dadan and/or its Users to secure and maintain the protection of your Personal Details.
Service providers based outside of the United States may sometimes be used by dadan, and your Personal Details can be processed and stored in other countries, making it subject to disclosure under the laws of those countries. You consent and agree to the transfer, storage, and/or processing of your Private Details outside of the United States or any country in which you reside.
We may share Payment Data with third parties in order to prevent fraud or process payment transactions.
We can however disclose your information when we feel it is necessary to comply with the law, enforce our policies, or protect our or others’ rights, property, or safety. Non-Personal Information can also be provided to third parties for marketing, advertisement, or other purposes.
We consider the information we receive from Users and Viewers, including Personal Information, to be a business advantage. Therefore, in the unlikely case that we go out of business, declare bankruptcy, or are purchased as part of a transaction such as a partnership, takeover, or asset sale, your Personal Details can be revealed or transferred to the third-party acquirer as part of the transaction.
If you have an individual dadan account and your account email domain is owned or controlled by your employer or organization, we can also share details about your account with them.
Finally, Users might be provided with usage data directly related to the videos and/or other Content that they make available through the dadan Properties. These details might include who watched a specific Content (if the viewer is logged into dadan), which Content of a specific User was watched, and how many times a specific Content was watched.
dadan may have a legal obligation or privilege to obtain, use, or reveal your Personal Details without your permission or approval under such exceptional cases. 3We will not reveal any consumer information (including Personal Data) without your prior approval in compliance with applicable laws, except where consumer information is necessary to be disclosed: (1 ) “) for billing or business activity purposes; (2) for law enforcement purposes; or (3) to comply with a legal requirement.
When you use a corporate email domain belonging to your employer or another organization to create a dadan Business or dadan Enterprise account (as mentioned in dadan’s Terms of Service), the organization may be able to (1) access information in and about the account, including your Private Details; and (2) reveal, restrict, or access Content posted in connection with the account. Such accounts, as well as their use, are subject to the dadan Terms of Service approved by the company that created the dadan Business or dadan Enterprise account.
You agree to the disclosure of your information for the above reasons.
dadan employs effective security measures to protect Personal Information from unauthorized access, modification, disclosure, or destruction. Internal assessments of (a) dadan’s collection of data; (b) storage and processing procedures; (c) electronic protection measures; and (d) physical security measures to protect against unauthorized access to systems where dadan stores Personal Information are examples of these.
Unfortunately, no internet data transmission can be assured to be absolutely safe. As a consequence, although we are dedicated to safeguarding your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee or warrant the protection of any information you give us.
All dadan staff, vendors, and representatives who have access to Personal Information are subject to confidentiality agreements and can face discipline, including termination and criminal prosecution, if they use or disclose Personal Information in an unauthorized manner.
Any or all of the Personal Information we receive may be retained or handled on servers located outside your jurisdiction of residency, which may have different data privacy laws than your jurisdiction. As a consequence, pursuant to local legislation, this information may be subject to access requests from states, judges, or law enforcement in those jurisdictions.

dadan takes children’s and students’ privacy very seriously. Personal information gathered by the dadan Services may be subject to the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”) and/or the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (“FERPA”).
COPPA requires operators of websites and online services that collect personal information from children under the age of 13 to (i) notify parents and legal guardians about their procedures for obtaining, using, and disclosing such personal information, and (ii) receive verifiable consent from parents and legal guardians. Personal information is only collected from children under the age of 13 through the dadan Services if their school, school board, or teacher has agreed to obtain parental consent for that child to use the dadan Services and reveal personal information to us for the purposes of delivering the dadan Services, or if we have specifically obtained such parental consent.
Please refrain from sending any personal information about yourself to us if you are a student under 13 and your school, school district or teacher has not obtained this prior consent from your parent or guardian. In this case, please do not send any personal information other than what we request from you in connection with the dadan Services.
If we discover that we have obtained personal information from a student under the age of 13 without parental permission, or if we discover that a student under the age of 13 has provided us with personal information beyond what we have requested from him or her, we will delete that information instantly. If you think a student under the age of 13 has sent us personal details in breach of this Privacy Policy, please contact us at [email protected].
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) protects personally identifying information found in students’ educational records from unauthorized access. In compliance with FERPA, we can only use education records, as specified by FERPA, to provide agreed-upon services to a school, school district, or teacher. We will never share or sell FERPA-protected information, nor will we use it for any other reason unless guided or authorized to do so by the school, school district, or teacher. If a parent or qualifying student needs access to education records hosted on our servers, we will assist in making the request.
dadan adheres to the EU-US Privacy Shield Framework and the Swiss-US Privacy Shield Framework as established by the US Department of Commerce for the collection, processing, and storage of Personally Identifiable information transferred to the United States from European Union member countries (and also Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway), the United Kingdom (“UK”), and Switzerland. dadan has declared that it follows the Privacy Shield Principles in relation to such Personal Information. If the policies in this Privacy Policy clash with data subject rights under the Privacy Shield Principles, the Privacy Shield Principles take precedence.

dadan is subject to the legislative and compliance authority of the United States Federal Trade Commission with respect to Personal Information obtained or transferred under the Privacy Shield Frameworks.
Personal Details Obtained in the EU, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland. Our involvement in the Privacy Shield refers to all Personal Information obtained from the European Union and European Economic Region, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland that is subject to this Privacy Policy. With regard to all EU, UK, and Swiss Personal Information, we will adhere to the Privacy Shield Principles. We can obtain employment-related Personal Information from our employees in the EU, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland.
Reasons for collection and Use of Personal Information in the EU, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland. We will only process EU, UK, and Swiss Personal Information in ways that are consistent with the reason for which the EU, UK, and Swiss Personal Information was obtained, or in ways that the person or organization supplying the EU, UK, and Swiss Personal Information later permits.
Individuals in the EU, UK, and Switzerland have the right under the Privacy Shield Frameworks to seek clarification from us as to whether we keep Personal Information about them in the United States. We will provide you with access to the Personal Information that we have on file for you upon request. You can also correct, modify, or remove any Personal Details that we have on file for you. Individuals requesting access or wishing to correct, modify, or remove incorrect information transmitted to the United States under the Privacy Shield should contact [email protected]. If we are asked to delete data, we will do so in a timely manner.
Before we share your data with third parties other than our representatives, or use it for a reason other than the one for which it was initially obtained or subsequently approved, we will have an individual opt-out option, or opt-in for sensitive data. Please send a written request to [email protected] if you want to restrict the use and distribution of your Personal Information.
We may be required to reveal Personal Information in response to lawful requests from public authorities in such circumstances, such as to satisfy national security or law enforcement requirements.
The Privacy Shield Principles define dadan’s accountability for Personal Information obtained in the United States under the Privacy Shield and then passed to a third party. dadan, in particular, remains accountable and liable under the Privacy Shield Rules if third-party agents it employs to process Personal Information on its behalf do so in a manner inconsistent with the Principles, unless dadan can show that it is not responsible for the incident that caused the harm.
dadan is committed to to resolving issues about your privacy and our processing or use of your Personal Data transferred to the United States in accordance with the Privacy Shield Principles. Individuals in the European Union and Switzerland with Privacy Shield inquiries or concerns should first contact dadan by email at [email protected].
dadan has also agreed to refer pending privacy concerns under the Privacy Shield Principles to the Council of Better Business Bureaus’ independent dispute resolution process, the BBB EU PRIVACY SHIELD. In case of not receiving prompt acknowledgement of your concern, or if your complaint is not handled satisfactorily, please visit www.bbb.org/EU-privacy-shield/for-eu-consumers for more details and to file a complaint. This service is given to you at no cost.
dadan collaborates with the EU data protection authorities (DPAs), the UK Information Commissioner, and the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) in relation to human resources data transferred from the EU, the UK, and/or Switzerland in the light of the employment relationship with dadan.
If your Privacy Shield complaint cannot be resolved through the aforementioned means, you may, under some conditions, request binding arbitration over any residual claims that have not been addressed through other resolution mechanisms. See Privacy Shield Annex 1 for more detail.
California law provides citizens with additional privacy protections. Particularly , the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) requires businesses to report (i) the categories of personal data held, (ii) the sources of the obtained personal data, (iii) the purposes for which the collected personal information is used, (iv) the categories of personal information disclosed for a business purpose, and (v) the categories of personal information disclosed. dadan includes these disclosures in the table below.

You have the right to have your personal details removed. You could demand that we remove your personal data at any time.

The dadan Properties may include links to third-party websites or services, such as Third Party Services (collectively, “Third Party Sources”), which may obtain Personal Data and Non-Personal Data directly from you. Links to Third-Party Sources are given solely for your convenience. dadan has no influence over Third Party Sources. Third Party Sources might have their own privacy policy and data processing procedures that are unrelated to dadan. dadan: (a) assumes no blame or liability for these individual policies or actions; (b) bears no responsibility for the privacy procedures or content of such websites; and (c) makes no guarantees or promises regarding the contents, goods, or facilities available on such websites, or the protection of any information you provide to them.
The terms in this Privacy Policy can be updated from periodically, so you should check it regularly for changes. We reserve the right to change or replace this Policy From time to time. The most recent version of the Privacy Policy is noted below under the heading “Effective Date of this Privacy Policy.” We may also inform you via email or some other direct online communication method of any changes that, in our absolute risk, have a material effect on your use of the dadan Properties or the handling of your Personal Information. Your continued use of the dadan Properties after any updates to the Privacy Policy are posted constitutes approval of those changes.
