There are four main panels in dadan’s video editor, which is called dadan Studio. They provide a streamlined editing experience, each serving a specific purpose:
- Tools panel: For editing options.
- Video monitor: For previewing changes.
- Control panel: For adjustments.
- Timeline panel: For managing clips and sequencing.

dadan’s tools panel includes a variety of effects and components to enhance your videos, such as:
- Elements: Add emojis, stickers, and shapes to make your visuals more engaging.
- Text: Insert titles, subtitles, or any other text elements into your video.
- Trim: Remove undesired sections from your video.
- Blur: Conceal sensitive information or highlight key areas.
- Zoom: Focus on specific parts of the video for dramatic or instructional effects.
- Audio: Adjust the volume or mute specific sections.
How to add and edit text to a video
Adding text can enhance your videos by providing context, highlighting key points, and improving accessibility with captions or subtitles. It makes your content clearer and more engaging for your audience.
To add text to a video:
- Open the Tools panel and select a text type.
- Click on the text option to create a new layer in the timeline panel.
- The text will be placed at the current playhead location.
- The Control panel will display the settings for the selected text element.

How to trim part of a video
Mistakes like stuttering or pauses can be easily removed. dadan’s video editor allows you to trim your recording easily.
To trim part of a video:
- Place the Play head where you want to cut the video on the timeline.
- Adjust the clip’s position, drag it, and drop it within the timeline.
- Click Trim from the tools panel. This will automatically add a trim layer to the timeline.

How to adjust the audio
You may want to mute or lower the volume for a certain section of your recording. This is where dadan’s volume control feature comes in handy.
To adjust the audio, from the tools panel:
- Click Audio > Volume Control. This will automatically add a volume layer to the timeline.
- Position the volume clip at the point in the timeline where you would like the adjustment to take place.
